On May 26, 2027, Weezer will perform at AFAS Live in Amsterdam with The Gathering Tour, centered around their new album Weezer, set for release on August 21, 2026. The band returns to that recognizable formula: tight, energetic guitars, choruses that linger in the mind, and lyrics with self-deprecating humor about aging, expectations and simply carrying on. For this record, Weezer collaborated with Klas Åhlund and Kenneth Blume, and there is a notable detail: for the first time since their debut, Rivers Cuomo and Pat Wilson co-wrote the foundation of a track. With recent singles such as Shine Again, We Might as Well Be Strangers (feat. Wednesday), and C.E.O., this chapter feels both immediate and fresh, without losing Weezer’s signature wink. As support, Taking Back Sunday will join. The Long Island group brings the emo- and pop-punk energy they’ve made their own since Tell All Your Friends and Louder Now: tense guitars, melodic outbursts, and a live dynamic that leans on tension and crowd sing-alongs.
