Hieroglyphics lands in Vancouver on September 13, 2026 at the Commodore Ballroom with what has defined their signature since the early 1990s: a collective rap, precise and flexible, far from the gangsta codes associated with the West Coast. Born in Oakland, the crew brings together Del the Funky Homosapien, Souls of Mischief, Casual, Pep Love, producer Domino, and DJ Toure, with that way of passing the mic at full speed and building tracks like relay legs. On stage, you can feel their boom-bap DNA fed by soulful and jazzy loops, and above all that taste for internal rhymes and tight flow schemes, where each voice completes the one before. From 3rd Eye Vision to Full Circle and then The Kitchen, Hieroglyphics has evolved its sound without losing the independent spirit that drove the group to create its own label, Hieroglyphics Imperium Recordings. Expect a set conceived as a group dynamic, weaving abstract visuals, pop-culture nods, and snapshots of the Bay Area.
