If you’re into electro-bass with genuine 808 punch, two names that helped shape the genre from the very start meet here: The Egyptian Lover and Arabian Prince. On October 9, 2026, they bring their early West Coast electro DNA to Berlin’s Humboldthain Club — live, direct, and without frills, with a focus on machine grooves, bone-dry drum patterns, and those repetitive synth lines that land in the body instantly.
The Egyptian Lover, active in Los Angeles since the early 1980s, stands for minimalist electro-rap and funk-driven energy: fast programmed rhythms, distinctive vocoder and spoken vocals, along with the clear bass figures that have defined his classics and still work on the dancefloor today. Arabian Prince rounds out the bill as another pioneer of the first electro and hip-hop wave: raw, futuristic, and deeply rooted in the gear of the machines. An evening that’s less about nostalgic celebration and more about showing how timeless these sounds remain when performed by the people who helped build them.
