I Muvrini, the duo of brothers Jean-François and Alain Bernardini, return to the stage, propelled by NULU 33 (Nuage 33), an album built as a suite of songs in which the voice remains the focal point. Faithful to their way of making Corsican polyphony dialogue with today’s writing, they move between transmission songs, collective impulses and refrains designed to be sung by many.
On this new repertoire, the group broadens the frame further: Corsican blues, Portuguese guitar, fado, a more urban groove, choirs and guests mingle with their vocal signature, never diluting it. Notably César Anot appears, along with soprano Kelly Poukens, and children’s choirs that cast a different light on the melodies. An evening conceived as a concert of voices and passages, between Mediterranean roots and openness.
