If there is one figure who has traversed folk, rock, and pop without ever allowing himself to be boxed in, it's Bob Dylan. Born Robert Allen Zimmerman, he arrived in the early 1960s in the clubs of Greenwich Village and very quickly found himself at the heart of the folk scene, propelled by writing that tells the story of America, its tensions, its dreams, and its disillusionments. Songs that became touchstones, a voice recognizable above all, and that unique way of evolving the tracks over the course of his tours.
With albums such as The Times They Are a-Changin’ or Blonde on Blonde, Dylan laid the foundations for a discography as dense as it is fluid, alternating electric periods, returns to the roots and unanticipated turns. Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and then into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he remains above all a performer who keeps at his craft night after night.
