Wet Wet Wet celebrate 40 years of their debut era with a show built around the songs that put them on the map. On 14 October 2027 at Royal & Derngate in Northampton, the Scottish band revisits the sound of Popped In Souled Out: tight, soulful pop, R&B-leaning grooves and those big, sing-along choruses that defined late-80s British radio.
Formed in Clydebank near Glasgow, Wet Wet Wet have always balanced white-soul warmth with polished pop-rock, carried by Graeme Clark’s bass lines, Neil Mitchell’s keyboards and a rhythm section made for smooth, steady momentum. Alongside the early favourites, expect a set that nods to the group’s long run, from the Memphis-flavoured sessions to the ballads and crossover moments that followed, including the classic Love Is All Around. Today fronted by Kevin Simm, the band keeps the catalogue alive with a live approach that’s direct, melodic and built for voices in the crowd.
