Wet Wet Wet celebrate 40 years of their debut album Popped In Souled Out with a special show on 25 February 2027 at Caird Hall, Dundee. Formed in Clydebank near Glasgow, the band forged a melodic mix of pop and soul with rich arrangements and heartfelt ballads. With Kevin Simm on lead vocals since 2018, they revisit the 1987 record that set their course, bringing songs like Wishing I Was Lucky, Sweet Little Mystery and Temptation back to the stage alongside selections that trace their journey from The Memphis Sessions through High on the Happy Side and the era of Love Is All Around. Expect a set driven by harmonies, groove and that unmistakable Scottish pop-soul touch.
Support comes from The Christians. Born in Liverpool, they blend smooth vocal harmonies, gospel-tinged soul and polished pop, carried by Garry Christian’s distinctive voice. Known for socially aware writing and finely crafted melodies, their live format highlights the interplay of voices and a supple rhythmic feel. Together, these two groups draw a clear line to the late-80s UK pop-soul sound, offering an evening rooted in songs, arrangements and vocal presence.
