Info

Belle and Sebastian revisit their debut album Tigermilk at Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow on 26 June 2026. Formed in the city in the mid-90s around Stuart Murdoch’s songwriting, the band shaped a distinctive indie pop and chamber pop sound, balancing gentle melodies, understated grooves and narrative lyrics. Played front to back, Tigermilk brings back the stripped arrangements and character-driven vignettes that defined their early days, with songs like The State I Am In, Expectations or My Wandering Days Are Over carried by the band’s trademark interplay of guitars, keys, strings and brass.

The night then opens to fan favourites from across their catalogue. Expect the literate jangle of the late-90s era alongside the more polished pop of the 2000s and the dance-leaning touch they explored later on. Long-time members Stevie Jackson, Chris Geddes, Sarah Martin and Richard Colburn anchor the group’s dynamic, while Murdoch’s voice and storytelling remain central. In their hometown setting, Belle and Sebastian connect past and present, letting the songs speak with clarity and warmth.
