Widowspeak bring their low-lit indie rock to YES, Manchester on 16 November 2026. Formed in Brooklyn and now centered on singer-guitarist Molly Hamilton and guitarist Robert Earl Thomas, the project has, since 2010, traced a quiet path between slow-burn indie, dream pop haze and a discreet country tint. The duo leans on unhurried tempos, lean arrangements and guitar lines that leave space for Hamilton’s voice, upfront without strain. From the self-titled debut through Almanac, All Yours, Expect the Best, Plum and The Jacket, their writing has pared back to the essentials: held tension, oblique melodies and a focus on tone. On stage, that economy turns attentive; songs stretch and settle, riffs circle, and small shifts in dynamics carry the room. Once a trio within the Brooklyn scene, Widowspeak now tour as a tight core around Hamilton and Thomas, keeping a recognizable sonic identity while letting each track breathe. A live set that rewards close listening and draws you in by degrees.
