Kraftwerk « Multimedia Tour 2026 »

On 18 May 2026 at Waterfront Hall, Belfast, Kraftwerk bring their Multimedia Tour to the stage. Founded in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider, the group evolved from early krautrock experiments to a precise, repetitive electronic language that reshaped pop made with machines. Mechanical rhythms, processed voices and themes of technology, transport and everyday life became central, across albums like Autobahn, Radio-Activity, Trans-Europe Express, The Man-Machine, Computer World and Electric Café.

Under the direction of Ralf Hütter, Kraftwerk now perform as a live audio-visual unit. The set revisits their catalogue with current arrangements, syncing sequences, percussion and vocoders to large-scale projections and minimalist graphics. Sound and image advance together, highlighting the group’s long-standing ideas: pared-down melodies, a steady pulse, and the link between people and machines. Foundational material for electro, synth-pop and techno, presented in the present tense at Waterfront Hall.
