Del Amitri land in Leeds with the kind of songs that cut straight to the point: clear guitars, melodic hooks and words that look everyday life in the eye. Built around singer-bassist and songwriter Justin Currie with guitarist Iain Harvie, the Glasgow band forged its path through the late 80s and 90s by keeping it simple and sharp. Those instincts still frame the show, with Andy Alston’s keyboards adding colour to arrangements that stay lean and purposeful.

The set dives into a catalogue that has aged without fuss. From early turns on Waking Hours and Change Everything to the taut writing of Twisted and Some Other Sucker’s Parade, the band moves between dry wit and bruised tenderness without overplaying it. Nothing Ever Happens, Kiss This Thing Goodbye, Always the Last to Know and Roll to Me still hit, and newer cuts from Fatal Mistakes (2021) show the same pop sense tightened by time on the road. On 9 November 2026 at O2 Academy Leeds, Del Amitri revisit those songs with the unshowy focus that has always been their centre: jangly guitars, direct melodies, and lyrics that stay with you.
