Kamelot

Formed in Tampa in the early ’90s, Kamelot stands at the crossroads of melodic power metal, symphonic layers and progressive turns. Built around guitarist and founder Thomas Youngblood, the band first shaped its identity with epic heavy metal before embracing denser arrangements, orchestration and recurring narrative threads. The Roy Khan era opened a more conceptual streak with Epica and The Black Halo, both nodding to Goethe’s Faust, then Ghost Opera and Poetry for the Poisoned deepened the darker hues. Since 2012, Swedish vocalist Tommy Karevik has carried the melodies with a clear, expressive tone that fits the band’s mix of tight riffs, cinematic textures and chorus-driven writing across Silverthorn, Haven, The Shadow Theory and The Awakening (2023).

On November 10, 2026 at Klub STUDIO in Kraków, Kamelot brings a set that draws across these chapters, from early epics to more modern cuts. Expect sharp dynamics, orchestrated backdrops and a dramatic flair anchored by Youngblood’s melodic sense and a rhythm section that shifts from hushed passages to driving grooves. The group’s live identity often welcomes guest voices and a worked visual dimension, extending the introspective and theatrical themes that run through their songs.
