Tarja Turunen

Tarja Turunen brings her singular blend of classical training and heavy riffs to Klub STUDIO in Kraków on 26 April 2027. A soprano shaped at the Sibelius Academy and the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, she first made her mark as the voice of Nightwish, helping define a symphonic metal sound where operatic lines meet guitars and orchestral layers. Since stepping out solo, Tarja has built a catalog that moves between powerful, cinematic tracks and more intimate, lyrical pieces, always anchored by precise phrasing and a wide dynamic range.

On stage, she navigates metal, symphonic and atmospheric pop with ease, shifting from soaring high notes to darker timbres without losing clarity. Her recent projects show the breadth of her palette, from the metallic edge of In the Raw to choral and seasonal explorations, and collaborations with rock and metal peers have sharpened her sense of arrangement.
