Calva Louise

On 24 October 2026 at Backstage & O’Sullivans By The Mill, Calva Louise will present their hybrid rock born on the London underground scene. Fronted by singer‑guitarist and songwriter Jess Allanic, the trio brings together backgrounds from Venezuela, France and New Zealand within a British lineup. The band blends alternative rock, post‑hardcore and taut punk, pairs riffs bordering on metal with electronic textures, and shifts from catchy melodies to more abrasive passages. On stage, this mixture gains a directness forged through tours and appearances at festivals such as Reading & Leeds, Download, 2000trees, SXSW and Riot Fest. In 2023, Calva Louise self‑released the mixtape Over The Threshold, accompanied by videos made by the band, extending a carefully developed sonic and visual identity. Over the course of their shows, the group has shared bills with Bloodywood, Slothrust, Boston Manor, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Albert Hammond Jr.
