Amorphis

Amorphis arrives at the Élysée Montmartre (Paris) on 12 February 2027 with the Borderland Tour 2027. From Helsinki, the band forges a brand of metal where melodic death meets progressive impulses and northern atmospheres. Massive guitars, misty keyboards and the alternation of clean vocals and growls carry narratives inspired by the Kalevala. Carried by Tomi Joutsen’s voice since 2005, the group has refined across its albums a songwriting that is both cutting and melodic, smoothly shifting from tension to melancholy. On stage, Amorphis weaves solid atmospheres and highlights the singular blend that has marked its trajectory, from rough beginnings to recent productions.

The evening’s special guests, Finland’s Insomnium, delve into a strain of melodic death tinged with wintery hues. Light-and-dark riffs, long melodic lines and deep rumblings sketch an introspective landscape where heaviness sits alongside brighter respites.

Opening the bill, Unto Others lay down their blend of dark metal and gothic echoes, with baritone vocals and guitars edged with a New Wave bite. A contrasting appetiser before Amorphis’s realm.
