Info
On September 6, 2026 at Le Petit Bain (Paris), Allegaeon return with their original vocalist Ezra Haynes, back behind the microphone. On The Ossuary Lens, their seventh album, the band tightens its focus toward a sharper, more technical death metal, with Haynes’s growls taking the lead. The lyrics intersect science and introspection, while the guitars multiply melodic motifs and rhythmic breaks—what the band sums up as “melotech.” Not a concept album, but a common thread: looking at death from different angles, track by track. On stage, this shift translates into a dense, precise, and taut set, fueled by new compositions and familiar touchstones.
Gorod arrive with The Ember Gone, their eighth record recorded at Bud Studio by Mathieu Pascal. More progressive, in the vein of Transcendence, the five-piece from Bordeaux pushes its technical writing toward finely honed arrangements and tense atmospheres. The concept and lyrics, rooted in contemporary reality, probe our era without losing sight of the riff’s effectiveness. Live, the band assembles grooves, nested meters, and clear melodic lines with its customary precision, delivering a run through the new material that also reconnects with their roots.
