On April 23, 2027, at the Forum in Le Mans, Laurent Gerra takes his place at the table with a show shaped by current events. An impersonator and observer of public foibles, he serves a banquet of voices in which politicians, singers, and television and film stars follow one another in a shifting gallery. In the revue-cabaret spirit, he alternates sketches and songs, adjusts timbres, captures speech tics and delivers lines with precise timing. On the menu: current affairs simmered his way, sharply drawn portraits and winks to well-known figures—vegans included. Without dwelling, Gerra cooks the present, recycles the catchphrases of the moment, seizes the buzz, paints crisp caricatures and delights in media posturing.
