Zoufris Maracas

Zoufris Maracas will set up at the Cabaret Sauvage on October 8, 2026, for a borderless evening of song. Born from Vin’s and Micho’s trips through West Africa, the band has forged a cross-cultural French chanson in which colorful guitars, traveling percussion and clever brass invite you to move. Often compared to Mano Negra or Les Négresses Vertes, they blend everyday poetry with social chronicle over rhythms drawn from cumbia, rumba, swing, off-kilter waltzes and Balkan beats.

With four albums to their name and a long history of touring, they have sharpened their way of telling the world as it is: precarious work, migration, ecology, urban drift and yearnings for elsewhere. On stage, the group alternates danceable bursts and tender respites, catchy refrains, generous backing vocals and sudden shifts that re-energize. They move from ironic odes to bittersweet polemics without losing the thread, propelled by clear songwriting and a shared, contagious energy. An evening to sing, move and travel together, in Paris, in the intimate setting of the Cabaret Sauvage.
