The Young Gods

On 18 September 2026 at Le Bikini in Ramonville, The Young Gods took the stage as a trio with the guitar once again to the fore. The Swiss band reconnected with a more direct energy, as heard on their album Appear Disappear, where sharp riffs and mechanical pulses interlock. On stage the rhythm hits hard, samplers carve out industrial textures, and Franz Treichler’s voice steers atmospheres that shift from smouldering tension to frontal detonations.

Formed in 1985, the group has forged its language between rock urgency and electronic power. This concert returned to that axis, without nostalgia, tracing lines between their early industrial forays, post‑punk surges and more psychedelic respites. Recent songs blended in naturally, with repetitive structures that hypnotize and then breaks that relaunch the momentum. Abrasive guitars, sampled loops and hammered percussion answer one another in a dense set conceived for live performance. No flashiness — just a razor‑sharp sound, pressure build‑ups and a sense of contrast that hold the whole thing together. The Young Gods continue their transformation in public, keeping a simple principle: to make the shock of rock converse with electronic architecture, here and now.
