This Will Destroy You

This Will Destroy You land at Le Chinois, Montreuil, on 12 June 2026 with their instrumental post-rock that treats dynamics like a storyline. Since emerging from Texas with the Young Mountain EP in 2005, the band has shaped expansive, cinematic soundscapes that blur ambient drift, doomgaze weight and patient crescendos. The self-titled album outlined the method: long arcs, near-silence to saturated overdrive, melodies that surface then dissolve. Tunnel Blanket pushed into darker, stretched textures; Another Language added more layered contours without losing the sense of space.

On stage, they take time to build, letting guitars, synths and granular noise breathe before the blow-up, trading fragile motifs for dense walls of tone. Their tracks have also crossed into cinema and TV, heard in Moneyball, World War Z or Foxcatcher, a sign of how these pieces summon images without words. At Le Chinois, the set should lean into that tension-and-release grammar, an immersive ride where volume, texture and contrast carry the narrative.
