Info
Malevolence have moved from sweatbox hardcore rooms to festival pits without changing pace. Formed in the north of England, the Sheffield unit shapes a groove-led hybrid of metal and hardcore: weighty riffs, mid-tempo swing, and breakdowns that hit hard. There’s a hint of Southern sludge in the swagger, anchored by a sharp UK bite. On April 4, 2026 at Hard Luck Bar in Toronto, they bring a set built on that balance of crunch and movement.
From Manchester, Guilt Trip add a homegrown charge. Jay Valentine fronts a five-piece where guitarists Jak Maden and Sam Baker slide clear melodies through thrash-leaning riffs, tied to Tom Aimson’s drums and Lily Kilcoyne’s bass. Their songs cut from tight chug to open, melodic passages before dropping into clean, heavy breakdowns. Straight delivery, no frills; a solid fit alongside Malevolence.
