On 16 March 2026 at Hafenklang (Große Elbstraße 84, 22767 Hamburg), Irish artist Meryl Streek brings his stark blend of spoken word, punk abrasion and electronic pulse to the stage. Armed with a mic and a laptop, the Dublin producer shapes raw loops and serrated guitars into tight, pounding structures. Since his debut 796, he has carried a direct, politically alert voice from small rooms to larger stages, keeping the focus on rhythm, noise and message.

His latest album, Songs For The Deceased, recorded with producer Dan Doherty, widens the palette: news snippets, heavy bass, feedback and flashes of traditional Irish tones frame narratives of betrayal, injustice and loss. In concert, these textures lock into a hard, percussive drive while his vocal delivery stays front and center. Personal pieces like Paddy sit alongside historic memory on Stardust, so the set moves between intimate confession and collective reckoning. The result is a live experience where words cut, guitars grind and beats push forward, delivered with a clear, insistent cadence.
