Les Négresses Vertes

Les Négresses Vertes return to 6MIC in Aix-en-Provence on 9 October 2026 with the Zobi Tour. Born in the ferment of the Parisian punk scene in 1987, they forged a distinctive sound where acoustic rock, realist chanson and Mediterranean rhythms meet. Mlah, their debut album in 1988, opened the way and quickly crossed borders, followed by remixes in the UK charts in 1989. Famille nombreuse (1991), Zigzague (1995) and Trabendo (1999) carried the momentum until their hiatus in 2001. Reunited in 2018, the band played 350 dates and hits the road again in 2026 with a set that draws on their entire repertoire, from Zobi la mouche to Voilà l’été.

On stage, the 2026 lineup features Stéfane Mellino (guitar, vocals), François Tousch (accordion, backing vocals), Iza Mellino (percussion, backing vocals), Mich Ochowiak (trumpet, backing vocals), Gwen Badoux (trombone, backing vocals) and Matthieu Rabaté (drums). Accordion and brass up front, chorused refrains and collective energy serving the songs: the Négresses Vertes’ signature comes fully into relief, between Mediterranean pulses and rock edge, for a clear and uncompromising return to the stage.
