Info
Gogol Bordello plays the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on March 4, 2026. Formed in late-90s New York around Ukrainian singer-guitarist Eugene Hütz, the band carved a gypsy punk sound that fuses punk rock urgency with Balkan rhythms and folk from across Eastern Europe. A lineup drawn from multiple countries feeds a multilingual repertoire, moving between English, Ukrainian, Russian and Romani, with violin, accordion and a tight rhythm section at the core.
From Voi-La Intruder and Multi Kontra Culti vs. Irony to Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike, the group set a framework where fast tempos meet danceable cadences. Super Taranta! and Trans-Continental Hustle, produced with Rick Rubin, brought stories of exile, migration and life in diaspora to the front. Pura Vida Conspiracy, Seekers and Finders and Solidaritine carry that blend forward, mixing folk, alternative rock, ska and dub without dropping the bite.
On stage, Gogol Bordello turns this cross-border mix into collective momentum, channeling raw riffs, elastic grooves and big-chorus chants. A night built on songs that travel far yet keep their roots close, at Commodore Ballroom, 868 Granville Street, Vancouver.
