Info
On January 3, 2027 at The Pearl in Vancouver, The Bridge City Sinners bring their “death folk” to town: a folk‑punk blend that pulls as much from old-time tradition as from punk urgency. Built around the raw, magnetic vocals of Libby Lux, the Portland crew leans on an acoustic backbone that hits hard without amps: banjo, fiddle, upright bass and bursts of brass that can flip from bluegrass drive to street‑jazz swagger.
Expect songs that feel like twisted hymns and back-alley stories, with narrative lyrics digging into bent religious imagery, life on the margins, and a taste for the macabre, often delivered with a streak of dark humor. Their albums have steadily sharpened that mix, from the self-titled debut to Here’s to the Devil, Unholy Hymns and In the Age of Doubt. Live, it’s tight, loud in spirit, and made for a crowd that wants to be part of the chant rather than just watch from the back.
