Puma Blue is the stage name of Jacob Allen, an artist, producer and singer‑songwriter. Originally from South London and now based in Atlanta, he came to prominence with the EPs Swum Baby (2017) and Blood Loss (2018). His debut album, In Praise of Shadows, was released in 2021, followed by the concert film A Late Night Special.
Known for an intimate, nocturnal aesthetic, Puma Blue performs live with a band made up of close collaborators. Together they blend improvisation with jazz-tinged touches and a vocal intensity reminiscent of Jeff Buckley.
His second album, Holy Waters (2023), darker and more band-centered, explores the theme of accepting death. In 2025 he released antichamber, a minimalist, atmospheric album unveiled just hours before its release, featuring restrained arrangements and ambient recordings.
In October 2025, Puma Blue announced new material and shared excerpts from the single “Desire,” scheduled for release on 22 October 2025.
