On April 4, 2026, The Haunted Youth arrives at the Trabendo in Paris. A project led by Belgian Joachim Liebens, the band has, from its beginnings, carved out a clear line between dream pop and ethereal indie, favoring hazy guitars, subtle synths and emotionally raw lyrics. First noticed with Teen Rebel, The Haunted Youth quickly made a name for itself beyond Belgium, from the United Kingdom to the United States, thanks to melodic songwriting that lingers in the mind without exaggeration.
Following Dawn of the Freak and an extensive tour, the second album, Boys Cry Too, released in February 2026, confirms the direction of an enveloping, introspective sound. The tracks Coming Home, Broken and especially Gone, named single of the year by Studio Brussel, established the blend of pop momentum and gentle melancholy that has become the project’s hallmark. At the heart of the project, Joachim Liebens weaves songs that tackle dark themes with a restrained sincerity, capable of creating a genuine connection with the audience. An evening to be carried away, between indie clarity and psychedelic haze, in the company of a band that moves forward quietly but with confidence.
