Bachar Mar-Khalife

Bachar Mar-Khalifé is a Franco-Lebanese singer-songwriter, pianist and percussionist who likes to blur the boundaries between art music, Middle Eastern heritage and restrained electronics. Trained at the conservatory, he works sound close to its material: muted strikes, prepared piano, subtle pads, and Arabic vocals that blend into the pulse. His pieces move forward through motifs, between contained tension and release, with a sense of detail that lets silence breathe as much as rhythm.

On stage he plays in motion, moving from keys to drums, combining analog textures with digital echoes. The songs shift from a spare melody to a repetitive trance, without excess, with writing that favors space and contour. On April 2, 2026, at Paul B in Massy, he presents a repertoire in which percussion converse with minimalist piano lines, between memories of Beirut and the Parisian present, for a concert that circulates emotion as much as a discreet groove.
