Carpenter Brut

Since 2012, Carpenter Brut has established himself as a leading figure in French synthwave. At the crossroads of electronic music and rock, he blends eighties textures, acidic keyboards and dark pulses into a world with a distinctly cinematic imagination. Trilogy, Leather Teeth and Leather Terror unfold a continuous narrative—between VHS culture, metallic riffs and electronic tension—designed as much for listening as for the stage.

On stage, the project favors imagery and momentum, with an artistic direction that extends the story told on the records. He has appeared at Le Trabendo, La Cigale, L’Olympia, Coachella, the Zénith de Paris, the Hellfest mainstage and Poland Rock, proof of a format suited both to large venues and to curious audiences.

Carpenter Brut will play at the Transbordeur in Villeurbanne on March 10, 2026. On the bill: a taut, high-energy fusion of electronic beats and rock drive, soundtrack-like themes, and a sound that embraces the legacy of the 1980s without being bound by it.
