Bertrand Belin

Bertrand Belin, songwriter as much as writer and actor, is back on the road with a new album. His deep, clear voice, with precise phrasing, takes the lead, supported by writing that cuts to the quick. Often likened to Bashung for the singularity of his diction and prose, he continues his explorations with songs that take their time, hovering between gentle tension and an expansive breath. He will be on stage on 13 March 2026 at La Cartonnerie Reims, with a set conceived as a story in motion.

On the programme: a piano occupying the centre, discreet guitars, electronic textures that blend into the backdrop, supple drumming, and occasionally strings that open up the space. The lyrics question our gestures, our attentions, our loves, and the way we look at the world. Belin’s language, both minimal and rich in imagery, traces clear lines. A writer you read, an actor you see, he above all reminds us that he is a musician: on stage the word finds its vibration, silences matter, and each piece creates an atmosphere that lingers after the final note.
