Info
Other Lives will play at Melkweg in Amsterdam on March 24, 2027, with their orchestral take on indie rock: music that leans as much on piano and strings as on guitar, and that takes time to build. From Stillwater, Oklahoma, the band first made a name early on with carefully crafted songs and a preference for acoustic textures, chamber folk, and baroque pop, tightly arranged but with plenty of room for atmosphere.
In concert, it’s all about detail and dynamics: muted percussion, restrained vocals, and arrangements that unfold slowly, moving from small, fragile moments to a broader, cinematic glow. Those who know the records hear how that line runs from the breakout period around Tamer Animals to the later work, in which the production remains clear but the tension arc shifts. An evening for listeners who like to stand in the middle of the sound, without it ever feeling crowded.
