Info
In 2027, Damien Rice celebrates the 25th anniversary of O with a tour that harkens back to where it began for him: songs that start small and can feel grand without losing their vulnerability. On 17 April 2027 he will perform at the Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam with a set centered around that debut, which he recorded himself back then, in a sober, acoustic spirit.
Rice writes songs built on voice, guitar and piano, with a lot of space for silence and tension. Don't expect a polished show, but a performance in which dynamics and detail do the work: personal lyrics, melodies that linger, and songs such as The Blower's Daughter, Cannonball and Volcano that still sit at the heart of his live repertoire. This anniversary evening centers on the essence of his folk and indie-folk: direct, intense, and wholly focused on the music.
