Info
On June 24, 2027, Angine de Poitrine land at The Piece Hall in Halifax with their instrumental duo format: drums and strings locked into a tense, forward-moving machine. Coming out of Quebec, Klek and Khn de Poitrine build tracks where experimental rock collides with math-rock angles and a post-punk bite, but with a repetitive, mechanical logic that sometimes feels close to techno in the way it loops, shifts, and snaps back.
Their pieces hinge on the accumulation and removal of short motifs, with matte, precise drumming, microtonal guitar and bass lines, and chromatic phrases that create friction inside asymmetric structures. No vocals, no narrative to cling to: just movement, variation, and rhythmic displacement, pushing the set toward something both tight and physical. Expect a live show that plays with tension and release, letting minimal repetition evolve until it hits like a jolt.
