Info
On March 17, 2027, at Vicar Street in Dublin, Imelda May brings Raised on Songs & Stories: The Lock In to her home city for a night built around voice, grit and storytelling. Born in the Liberties, she’s never been the kind of singer to stick to one lane: her roots run through rockabilly and swing, with a knack for rhythm and blues, jazz, soul and folk.
This show taps into that full timeline, from the retro snap of her early records through the broader rock and soul turn of later years, and into the more stripped-back, song-first approach she embraced on albums like Life Love Flesh Blood. Expect a set that moves between punchy, beat-driven moments and quieter, word-forward passages, where the lyrics and the way she delivers them do the heavy lifting.
