Info
Chanpan lands in Dublin on February 27, 2027 at Whelan’s with the kind of set that feels built for close contact. Formed in New York around Grace Dumdaw and twin brothers Lance and Matthew Tran, the trio first found its chemistry in Chinatown as street performers, learning how to lock in fast, keep it sharp, and hold attention without any safety net. That street-to-stage DNA still runs through their songs: indie rock structures pushed by punk momentum, with a riot grrrl edge in the attitude and the directness.
On stage, Chanpan goes straight to the point: tight guitars, punchy rhythms, and vocals that don’t hide behind effects. Expect a show where the energy comes from the band’s sense of timing and the way they play off the room, like they’re still working a sidewalk crowd, just with bigger amps.
