On January 27, 2027, Richard Thompson arrives at The Concert Hall in Toronto with his band for a set that digs into a long, restless catalogue where British folk roots meet electric rock bite. First known for his late-60s run with Fairport Convention, Thompson has kept moving ever since, balancing intimate acoustic ballads with sharper, plugged-in songs and reworked traditional material.
With the full band behind him, expect that signature guitar language up front: melodic lines that nod to folk modes but can turn on a dime into rock and country phrasing.
