Info
On May 16, 2027, at the Magic Mirrors in Le Havre, Clinton Fearon revives the repertoire of The Gladiators, the group where he served as bassist, singer and lyricist for nearly twenty years. On stage, he revisits those songs he co-wrote and that helped define the signature of Jamaican roots, from Chatty Chatty Mouth to Richman Poorman, not forgetting Stick A Bush.
For this tour dedicated to The Gladiators, Fearon relies on his Riddim Source lineup, expanded with brass, percussion and backing vocalists, in order to recapture the vocal harmonies and the dynamics of a real trio. There you find his direct and narrative style, carried by well-defined bass lines, a classic roots groove and lyrics that are both social and spiritual. A concert conceived as a return to fundamentals, without forced nostalgia: just solid songs, performed in the present.
