Info
On February 19, 2027, Vanessa Williams takes the stage at The Glasshouse - International Centre for Music in Gateshead for a concert built around the voice that’s been moving between pop craft and R&B smoothness since the late ’80s. From the early swing of The Right Stuff to the sleek, radio-ready soul of The Comfort Zone and the warmer ballad side of The Sweetest Days, she’s always played with that sweet spot where groove meets big, controlled emotion.
Expect a set that can slide from jazz-tinged phrasing to adult contemporary polish, with the kind of phrasing and timing that come from years of studio work and stage experience. Williams also brings a Broadway-trained sense of storytelling to her songs, shaped by her long run across musical theatre, TV, and film. It’s less about a greatest-hits sprint than a tour through styles she knows how to inhabit: romantic ballads, elegant R&B, and classic, song-first performance.
