Info
On November 20, 2026, Chico Chico will perform at the Melkweg in Amsterdam with a set that clearly presents his own mix of Brazilian rock, MPB, blues and folk. Born in Rio de Janeiro as Francisco Ribeiro Eller, he established himself in the Carioca scene through bands and projects, but in recent years he has sounded increasingly personal: songs that revolve around lyrics, melody and direct delivery, often carried by his voice and acoustic guitar.
Live, you hear how he places samba, rock and folk ballads side by side without it feeling forced. His solo albums Pomares and Estopim provide a solid backbone to that, with room also for the more recent Let it Burn/Deixa Arder. Do not expect flashy embellishments, but songs that stay close and a repertoire that can feel as intimate as it is taut, with the energy of the contemporary Brazilian indie scene in the background.
