On Sunday, October 25, we will welcome Gilles Peterson into the Sweet Apricots family, at La Marbrerie, for a day that is particularly close to our hearts.

Who among us still needs to be introduced to Gilles? An indefatigable explorer, an insatiable collector, and a conduit of music, he has traversed decades, continents, and genres with a curiosity that seems never to run dry.

From jazz to soul, Brazilian music to African rhythms, from broken beat to the most unlikely treasures, he belongs to this family of enthusiasts for whom music knows neither borders nor factions.

For this occasion, we will hand him the keys to our sound system and give him full freedom to take us wherever his records lead us. A long session, exclusively on vinyl, to take time for the music to breathe, to tell its stories, and to drift us into those territories where time begins to fade.

Since 2018, Sweet Apricots has cultivated a particular notion of the party. The kind where people come as much to listen as to dance, where strangers become friends, where we look after one another, and where music stays at the center of it all.

A small family-run association, a great deal of passion, a few tonnes of equipment, and this stubborn determination to bring moments to life that resemble no other.
