Info
Giant Rooks come to Chalk in Brighton on February 14, 2027, bringing their indie rock / indie pop mix built around Frederik Rabe’s distinctive vocal lines and Finn Schwieters’ guitar work. The band have been shaping English-language songs since their early EPs, moving from tight, hook-driven formats into a wider palette where pop structures and punchy rhythms meet more atmospheric, slow-burn passages.
On stage, expect that balance they’ve refined over the years: band energy, clean choruses that land fast, and quieter moments that lean into a more introspective mood. From the early momentum of New Estate and the sleek writing of Wild Stare to the broader, modern-pop edge of Rookery, Giant Rooks keep things detailed without losing the directness that makes their songs stick. Their recent era, centered on How Have You Been?, pushes that same tension between immediacy and depth, made for a room like Chalk where a chorus can hit as hard as the groove behind it.
