Cheekface land in London on Saturday 28 November 2026 at The Dome for a night built around their talk-sung indie rock: sharp guitars, tight drums, and those dry, hyper-observant lines that sound like a friend narrating a meltdown in real time. Since forming in Los Angeles in 2017, the trio have honed a punchy, DIY-driven format across albums like Therapy Island, Emphatically No., Too Much to Ask and It’s Sorted, always keeping the songs short, direct, and slightly sideways.
Emperor X opens the bill with a lo-fi, experimental take on indie songwriting, where rough-edged production meets dense lyrics and melodies that never take the obvious route. Now Berlin-based, Chad Matheny’s project moves between intimate folk instincts, noise-pop friction and off-centre rock.
Also joining is Playboy Manbaby, bringing a punk-and-garage charge with angular riffs, abrasive energy, and a taste for absurd humour that turns the set into something fast, nervous, and hard to predict.
