Info
Behind the mask of Kontravoid is Cameron Findlay, a Canadian musician, drummer and producer based in Los Angeles, who since 2012 has built one of the most recognizable projects on the contemporary dark electronic scene.
EBM, coldwave, electro, industrial and synthwave converge in dark, physical productions, built around deep basslines, pounding rhythms and a constant tension between atmosphere and the dancefloor. A sound born in the darkest clubs and that becomes even more intense in live performances.
Findlay has a substantial background in the international electronic scene: he played drums for Crystal Castles, co-founded The Parallels, and throughout his career has shared tours and stages with Boy Harsher, ADULT. and Drab Majesty, in addition to crafting remixes for artists such as Schwefelgelb and Kris Baha.
In 2026, Sound of the Void arrives, the new album released by Artoffact Records: ten tracks that push even deeper into his universe of coldwave, EBM and electro, between aggressive bass and rhythms designed for movement.
Kontravoid live at Retronouveau on Saturday, November 28, 2026.
