Info
On 18 April 2027, The Wombats bring their home-city energy back to Liverpool for a night at Arts Club built around the sharp, chorus-first spirit of A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation. Expect that early balance of nervy indie rock and melodic punch: bright guitars, elastic basslines, quick turns from deadpan humour to real-life anxiety, and those songs about relationships and everyday contradictions that hit because they sound lived-in. The trio’s DNA has always been danceable as much as it is guitar-driven, so the set should move fast, with singalong hooks and rhythms that push the room forward, while nodding to how their sound later opened up to sleeker pop and synth textures.
Cherryholt open the bill with a tight British indie-pop sound: crisp guitars, direct melodies and compact choruses designed for a live crowd. Their tracks carry that clean, band-in-a-room snap, driven by the full interplay of guitars, bass, drums, keys and vocal lines, setting a focused, upbeat tone before The Wombats take over.
