Info
Jack Kays arrives in Warsaw for a performance of "Jack Kays and His Band," and on April 21, 2027 he will play at Mechanik Club. The 27-year-old artist from Cincinnati builds his songs on raw, emotional vocals and lyrics that unflinchingly delve into themes of the psyche, isolation, and addiction. In his sound, pop-punk and emo naturally blend with alternative, folk, and hip-hop phrasing: tense guitars, catchy choruses, and rap-inflected accents sit alongside melodic passages, and the whole thing has the energy of a full-band performance rather than a solo project.
Live, Kays emphasizes the dynamics of a full lineup and playing on edge, moving from intimate, introspective moments to louder, punk-inspired bursts. It’s a good moment to hear material from his newer releases, as well as tracks that solidified his position since the breakthrough with "Morbid Mind" and subsequent albums and EPs. This evening promises a meeting with American alternative in its most personal, yet live, form.
