Info
Horace Andy brings his unmistakable tenor back on stage with The Dub Asante Band at Jazz Cafe in London on December 6, 2026. A key figure in roots reggae since the late 60s, he’s the kind of singer whose tone you recognize in a second: warm, elastic, and built for deep grooves. Over the decades he’s moved through rocksteady, classic roots and dub-heavy productions, shaping a catalog that includes staples like “Skylarking” and “Money Money,” always driven by that spiritual, socially aware edge.
Beyond the reggae world, he’s also the voice that helped Massive Attack blur genre lines, popping up across their full run of studio albums and slipping Jamaican phrasing into trip-hop and electronic textures without losing the weight of dub bass. Live, expect a set that leans into that heritage: heavyweight rhythms, space for echoes and drops, and a performance style that still hits with clarity and presence.
