Info
Laura Veirs lands in Aarhus on 17 April 2027, when she performs in Vin’danmark with her characteristic mix of folk, baroque folk and alt-country. Her songs move in the quiet, intricate realm: restrained arrangements, melodies that wind, and lyrics with literary glimpses, where everyday images can open up to something larger without shouting.
Since the late 1990s she has refined the expression from her early records into the strong catalog of albums that really put her on the map, and into a period in which she alternates between intimate, personal releases and more conceptual forays. In recent years she has continued the momentum with new songs and incisive storytelling, and live, the songs are given room to breathe, while the nuances of guitar, voice and small shifts in dynamics come very close. This is an evening for those who enjoy songwriting with room for contemplation and a band sound that never overwhelms the story.
