Info
On July 4, 2027, Llangollen Pavilion hosts a triple hit of British pop history with Bananarama’s “Too Hot to Handle Greatest Hits Summer Tour 2027”, joined by Altered Images and Tony Hadley.
Bananarama bring the sunny, synth-forward side of the early 80s into a set built for singing along: punchy choruses, new wave sparkle, and the dance-pop turn that later pushed them into club-ready territory. Expect a greatest-hits run that traces their path from the London post-punk orbit to the big pop years, where tracks like “Cruel Summer”, “Venus”, “I Heard a Rumour” or “Love in the First Degree” became instant staples.
Altered Images add their Glasgow edge, with Clare Grogan’s clear, sharp vocal riding angular guitars and nervy melodies, from their post-punk beginnings to the pop lean of “Happy Birthday”.
Tony Hadley rounds it out with that unmistakable voice behind Spandau Ballet’s smooth new romantic era, moving between soulful pop classics and his solo repertoire.
