Info
On December 11, 2026, Nile lands at Metropool, Enschede with its distinctive, lightning-fast technical death metal. Since 1993 the band, led by guitarist and vocalist Karl Sanders, has built a sound that fuses brutal riffs, complex song structures, and subtle melodic colours. Live, this translates into tight tempos, angular breaks, and the dark, labyrinthine atmosphere Nile excels at. Thematically too it remains recognizable: lyrics that delve into Egyptology, ancient religions and Mesopotamia, with occasional nods to Lovecraft. So expect not a loose set, but a show that feels like one long descent through catacombs and myths, with material from the milestones of Black Seeds of Vengeance and In Their Darkened Shrines to more recent work such as Vile Nilotic Rites and The Underworld Awaits Us All.
Redsphere opens with death/thrash from New Caledonia: sharp, direct and on the attack.
Intrepid brings Estonian death metal: tight, dark and made for the pit.
Orecus adds a Swedish twist with melodic death and groove metal, ideal for keeping the tempo high between the hammering blows.
