Info
On April 12, 2027, Jack Kays and His Band will perform at Luxor in Cologne. The Cincinnati-born musician, born in 1998, moves somewhere between indie rock, hip-hop, pop-punk, and emo: melodic vocals meet rap phrasing, complemented by these tense guitars that quickly swing from cerebral to visceral. He began in the 2010s in the SoundCloud scene, before gradually pushing his sound into a more angular, rock-oriented format.
Anyone who discovered him via 'Morbid Mind' or who knows his album 'Mixed Emotions' (2021) knows how direct his songs are: catchy refrains, pop-punk textures, and a palpable emo energy, with little distance between the lyrics and the vocal delivery. Live, the whole thing is deliberately conceived as a band setup—with more punch, more dynamics, and that blend of alternative culture and modern production that runs through the 'Deadbeat!' releases from 2024.
